Mulled Cider
*Clean cheesecloth and string or thread required1 whole nutmeg
3 cinnamon sticks, broken up
2 teaspoons whole cloves
2 teaspoons whole allspice
Two or three thin slices of fresh gingerTie spices in a 5-inch square of double thickness cheesecloth. Simmer in cider in a 2-quart crock-pot for a couple of hours on high or 4 hours on low.
