2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
1 cup molasses
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup boiling water
2 whole eggs
Oven: 350°

Cream butter, honey, molasses and spices.  Beat in flour; dissolve baking soda in water and add this to batter.  Beat eggs slightly then mix into cake batter, mixing well.  Bake in two 7-inch pans lined with brown paper, well buttered.  Bake about 45 minutes or until cake springs back in center.
