Caramel Apple Cake
  *This is a coffee-cake type recipe



 
 

1 ½ cups Bisquick
2/3 cup granulated sugar
½ cup whole milk
2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup boiling water
Oven:  350º

Stir Bisquick and sugar in medium bowl.    Stir in milk until blended and pour into ungreased 9 x 9 x 2 pan, top with apples and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.  Pour boiling water over all.  Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Serve warm with whipped topping if desired.
