Chocolate Tart Shells
*A candy shell for holiday treats!
12 ounces premium white, dark or milk chocolate bars
Cover mini-muffin cups or mini-bowls with aluminum foil, creating a “lip” edge, making sure all edges are smoothed. Heat the candy in a double boiler over hot, not boiling, water until melted and smooth in appearance. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Pour over top of form, allowing chocolate to run down the sides. Using a metal spatula, spread the chocolate evenly coating the form to the very edge. Chill 15 minutes, then repeat for a second coat. To serve, allow shells to soften slightly and trim shapes with paring knife carefully. Peel off foil, place on serving dish and fill with desired fillings.
