Cheryl’s Homemade Crackers

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
Extra salt or seasonings of choice
Oven:  400°

Sift together flour, salt and baking powder into mixing bowl.  Cut in the butter, then mix egg and milk together and work into dry mixture until stiff dough forms.  Shape into ball, flatten slightly and roll with firm pressure on a floured cloth until very thin.  Cut into desired shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Prick each cracker several times with a fork, season as desired and bake about 10 minutes or until golden.  Cool slightly then remove to clean linen to crisp.  Store in airtight container.
