1C Borax
1C Baking Soda
1/2 C plain (NOT Iodized) salt
Mix it all together. Use 1 TB detergent for normal
loads, 2T for heavy loads,
and use white vinegar as your rinse aid.
Homemade HE Laundry Powder
1 C Borax
1 C Washing Soda
2 C finely grated Fels Naptha soap or soap of your
choosing (Ivory is good for baby gear)
¼ cup Dirty Jobs Laundry Booster (or brand
of your choice) this is optional. I add it to help with stains
You will find that in most cases you do NOT need fabric
softener.
Use 2 T for normal loads, 3 T for heavily soiled loads
and 1T for light or delicate loads
