Fudge Brownies

1/2 cup butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
Oven:  350 °

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat.  Remove from heat; beat in sugar. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each.  Stir in vanilla.  Then stir in the flour.  Pour into an 8x8-inch pan that has been greased and floured. Bake for 20-30 minutes.  If desired, frost with Chocolate Confectioner's Glaze.  Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

*If desired, 1/2 cup chopped nuts may be added to batter.
