Apple Filling No. 2

5 cups apple, peeled and sliced paper thin
2 tablespoons melted butter
3 1/2 cup dark seedless raisins
2 tablespoons juice from lemon
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch or 2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine all ingredients in saucepan and cook over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until fruit is tender.  Cool.
