Drop Dumplings

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
¼ cup butter softened
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Milk

Sift dry ingredients together into mixing bowl.  Cut in butter thoroughly.  Quickly stir in enough buttermilk to make very sticky dough. With floured hands, shape into balls or use two spoons to drop desired amount per dumpling into boiling liquid. Boil gently about 10 minutes.
