Aunt Dese's Strawberry Delight

2 small packages wild strawberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 package (16 ounces) frozen strawberries
1 large can (16 ounces) crushed pineapple
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 8-ounce carton sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts of choice

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add strawberries and stir until thawed.  Add crushed pineapple and stir well.  Pour into 8 x 8 casserole and chill for two hours or overnight.  Mix cream cheese and sugar together until fluffy; blend in sour cream and vanilla.  Spread this mixture over gelatin and berries, sprinkle with nuts and chill.  Cut into squares.
