Johnny's Easy Cheese Danish

2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
2 large cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
Oven:  350°

Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.  Press one can of the roll dough into pan, creating a rectangle of pastry.  Thoroughly mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and extract; spread over dough evenly.  Gently press remaining can of dough over the top.  Beat egg white and brush over pastry.  Bake 30 minutes.  Combine last three ingredients and blend until of thick drizzling consistency.  Pour over still-warm Danish.
