Harvard Beets

1 16-ounce can sliced beets, drained, reserving liquid
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons butter
Dash salt

In saucepan over medium heat, combine reserved beet liquid, cornstarch, sugar, vinegar, butter and salt, mixing well.  Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.  Fold in beets and heat through.
