Baked Acorn or Winter Squash

2 good sized firm ripe acorn squash, split lengthwise and seeded
8 tablespoons butter
Light brown sugar
Oven:  400º

Place squash cut side down in baking pan.  Pour in about 1/2 inch water, seal with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes.  Remove from oven, drain off water, and turn squash over.  Place 2 tablespoons butter in cavity of each half and sprinkle tops with a little brown sugar.  Bake uncovered another 30 minutes or until squash is bubbly and tender.  Serves 4.
