Cinnamon-Raisin Bars
 *A recipe I developed for the children when they were small.

1 1/2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Raisin Filling
Cinnamon Icing
Oven:  350°

In mixing bowl cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.  Sift flour, salt and soda together and work into creamed mixture.  Add oats and 1 tablespoon water.  Mix together until crumbly.  Firmly pat half the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 sheet cake pan.  Spread with filling.  Add 1 tablespoon water to remaining oat mixture, stir and pat this over filling in the dish.  Bake about 35-40 minutes.  Cool completely.  Drizzle with Cinnamon Icing and cut into bars.
